PSIA Information for 2017 – 2018
PSIA is a nonprofit education organization serving all privately-schooled grade 1–8 students in Texas. Offering 59 academic contests in Math, Science, Language Arts, Speech, Social Studies, and Fine Arts since 1998, PSIA remains the most comprehensive academic extracurricular program in America for students in grades 1 through 8.
PSIA is open to any student grade 1-8.
Practices are determined by the coach.
Cost is $25 per event, per child.
Studying for these events takes practice and dedication, and for that reason there is a 3 event limit (One Act Play excluded).
Only 3 contestants per event per grade compete at District. A ‘regional’ meet will be held in December for any event with more than 3 per grade.
District Meet is March 3, 2018 at Regents School of Austin.
State Meet is in April 28, 2018 at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
A description of each event is included in the sign up form.

BIG LIBRARY USED BOOK SALE
This summer I did a major weeding of books in the library, especially from the Easy (picture book), non-fiction, reference, and 7th/8th grade sections. This makes for a cleaner, easier to use library…and for a large number of books needing a new home. Help these books find a new home while raising a little additional money for the library by visiting the library’s used book sale on September 7th and 8th from 3:30 until 4:15. All books are a quarter each and proceeds go to the library.
Buy Scrip for all your shopping needs!
We have scrip cards for groceries, gas and retail. We stock VISA & Amazon scrip cards too! When you are shopping, why not support our school at the same time.
