60th Anniversary Edition!
2016 ~ 2017 Yearbooks
Reserve your copy now! This 60th anniversary edition is larger than past yearbooks and includes pages devoted to our 60th year celebrations. It captures all of the memories of this school year. Purchase your book by logging on to www.balfour.com and click yearbooks. Our school is listed under “St. Louis School.” Books will arrive late summer, early fall. Books will be for sale through June 30th, but if you don’t make the online deadline, let us know and we’ll accept payment in the school office.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors $55,000 was raised during and after Green and White Night for Paws Up! This year the focus of spending for these monies will be in the classrooms. We received our new globes for each grade – they are beautiful and most importantly accurate! And several items are on order including Promethean Boards for 3 class rooms and the media center, light boxes for the art room, and walkie talkies to help with pick up. Next we will be working to stock our new makerspace. We hope to complete many purchases over the summer so they will be in place when school starts in the fall. Thanks for your donations!
Help us make next year’s Green & White Night a success!

We are looking forward to all the summer donations. Our closet has gotten pretty low.
Donations can be dropped off at the school during summer business hours or contact Heather Grissom directly. Once we get our full inventory stocked the Online List will be updated. I will start returning emails and getting families the items they need at that time. Please call the school office (512/615-6622) if you are not sure of the office summer hours. Notes & Reminders:
~ Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas sent Mr. Kemp a thank you note for our donation of over 300 books, collected by our NJHS. An excerpt from the letter, which is attached to today’s Cougar News, says “We are achieving great things, and this is only the beginning. Because of you, miracles will continue to happen…and lives will be transformed. Thank you for your generosity.” Great job NJHS!!
~ One Act Play Performances – Thank you to everyone able to attend our performances and/or donate to our concession stand. It was a great evening and we look forward to seeing everyone at our performance next year!
~ Notes from the Health Room – Please take a moment to read the letter from our Health Room included in today’s Cougar News.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Thank you to The Kings Men for often thinking of the school when looking for a home for their breakfast tacos, muffins and “extras” from their Friday morning meetings. The goodies are always appreciated and disappear quickly!
We have the most amazing Teacher Appreciation Committee and families at our school. During the month of May we were treated to a “grab and go” breakfast, two separate luncheons, potted plants, a snack bar one afternoon, Sonic drinks and balloons on another afternoon and we ended the year with new drink cups with Sonic cards tucked inside! Top this off with a surprise from Austin Yard Cards and our week was absolutely the best!
Room Parents ~ what can we say about their willingness to go above and beyond? From helping in the classrooms, driving on field trips, hosting faculty/staff luncheons, providing Faith Family snacks on Fridays and countless other ways they help, too many to mention! We could not do our jobs without your help and positive attitudes.
We thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts!
